LIVING TOGETHER IN SEVILLE
‘Living Together’ is a new series where Daniel examines urban spaces. He explores how natural features like rivers and valleys shape and constrain us, and how our cities have developed layered, nearly organic structures that mimic nature's unlimited complexity. This series underscores the fact that we humans are organisms living in a constantly evolving environment - intricate, interconnected and fascinating.
The painting draws inspiration from a recent visit to Seville’s historic old town, with its intoxicating labyrinth of streets. Viewed from above, the city seems entirely organic, a layered tapestry of textures and shapes in a distinct bleached colour palette that perfectly balances chaos and beauty.
