ARTIST PROFILE

I believe everything is extraordinary. It just depends on the context in which it is viewed. I’m inspired by everyday nature and its seemingly random and chaotic beauty. In my work I attempt to assemble and organise shape, colour and texture into some kind of order. I play with scale, supersizing small, often overlooked found objects to give them a supernatural quality. The friction between natural chaos and the order I impose upon it are a central theme that I explore using painted acrylic and graphite on board and small sculptures.
